HORSE DENTAL CARE
Dental Care in Horses involves the same principles as human dentistry! Horses can experience severe pain and discomfort due to dental conditions.
Here are some simple steps to improve your horses dental health:
1. Get regular dental examinations - at least every 12 months!
2. Know your horse - Horses like to hide their pain from us, so make sure you look out for the common signs including dropping feed from the mouth or balling feed in the cheeks. They may take longer to eat or start loosing weight.
3. Have a regular vet - Only a vet has the medical, anatomical and physiological knowledge to diagnose and treat detnal problems - make sure you notify them of any changes you notice.
4. Have their teeth floated or filed down to get rid of any painful, sharp edges or hooks that form in their teeth, especially if they have diets that are primarily made of soft food like hay o alfalfa.
You can use a large, damp toothbrush to gently brush your horse's teeth, making sure to avoid brushing the sensitive gums!
IMPORTANCE OF GOOD CAT DIET
A bad diet can lead to many health problems in cats, such as poor development and growth, obesity, and sometimes even kidney or bladder problems. To avoid these issues, it is very important to feed your cat a good quality diet.
